We’ve only just announced our 5th anniversary celebrations, and what better way to celebrate than adding a great client like Nissan to our roster.

Nissan has chosen Synthesio to manage their global monitoring needs, and will be working together to receive ongoing web listening with human analysis in various languages for 28 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and India. Services to be provided include customized monitoring dashboards with detailed geographic breakdowns, top influential websites & individuals, periodic qualitative insight reports, and more.

Synthesio’s goal with this project is to utilize their unique customized monitoring and research services to provide Nissan with high-quality social intelligence about its consumers, markets, and competitors worldwide, to better understand the brand’s strengths and weaknesses, improve marketing communications, and help give them an edge on the competition.

On the decision to work with Synthesio, David Parkinson, Digital Engagement Manager, Nissan AMIE stated, “We went through a very extensive vendor selection process, and were impressed with Synthesio’s sentiment approach (human plus technology) and the breadth of their offering – both in terms of global coverage, and the fact that they could offer listening and analysis through an easy to use query tool. Their engagement platform also gives us more options as we mature. We’re committed to using social and digital intelligence to improve the experience we offer our customers through our brand. The quality of the insights Synthesio has provided us with so far is excellent, and their service ethic makes them easy to partner with and work alongside.”

The automotive industry is far from new territory for Synthesio, having worked with the likes of Toyota, Volvo, Peugeot, and Honda on various projects, and we’re certain that leveraging this expertise will truly be a great asset for Nissan.

The Synthesio team is thrilled to collaborate with Nissan, and are looking forward to providing valuable insight to help elevate their brand to the next level.

These days Synthesio has a lot to be excited about. We opened our doors 5 years ago as a small start-up online research company and have since matured into a leading global player in the Social Media Monitoring & Engagement field. Since our founding, we’ve been fortunate to work with some of the biggest names around – Microsoft, Nissan, and Johnson & Johnson to name a few. We’ve expanded globally, opening new offices in London and New York, and even doubled our revenue each year… and we don’t plan on slowing down any time soon!

So it seemed fitting that we kicked off our week-long celebrations with a move to our new offices. Loic Moisand, CEO and Co-Founder says -

“We’ve worked hard to provide innovative quality services for our clients, and it’s exciting to be able to reward our team by expanding into our new offices in Paris!”

So next time you happen to be in Paris, we welcome you to stop by and pay us a visit! You’ll find us at 8/10 rue Villédo.

This celebration also means 5 years of a steadily growing R&D team who, thanks to their passion and know-how, have developed cutting-edge technologies. After creating global reputation monitoring dashboards used by over 200 clients, we launched in May 2011 our revolutionary engagement platform: Unity. Our latest innovation, Unity is a Social Media Engagement platform which has been developed for customer service, marketing and community management teams to help bring their work to the next level.

But this is only the beginning of our adventure, so let’s meet soon online for more information, more infographics and more white papers!

For 5 years now, the Synthesio team has been working hard to provide a high level of quality for social media monitoring and analysis. Since we arrived on the scene, there has been a number of new tools for keeping an eye on who is talking about your brand every day. We maintained our position, though, as not just a tool, but a customized service designed to meet the specific needs of large, international brands and agencies. One of our favorite mantras has always been the 3 main steps for social media monitoring :

Listen, Analyze, and Engage

Now that we have custom solutions in place for business intelligence, crisis monitoring, influencer identification, campaign measurement, and online reputation monitoring, we have now developed the third essential part of Listen, Analyze, and Engage :

Unity : An Enterprise Engagement Platform

Watch the video below for a complete explanation.

Unity is the solution for an enterprise-wide social strategy. An entirely customized platform, Unity allows you to track conversations around your brand via Synthesio’s listening technology, engage, and coordinate multiple teams seamlessly. Unity offers:

Social Management

Real Time Routing

Full Tracking Capabilities

Collaboration and Permission Levels

Get in touch with us, and let us know how we can help you engage with your customers online.

Solution

In order to overcome the multi-faceted problems faced by Orange, Synthesio listened to analyzed online conversations for more than a year, identifying 5 of the most influential forums for the company, their major contributors, and client expectations. Synthesio’s analysts monitor, filter, organize, and analyze each conversation for sentiment (positive, negative, or neutral) to allow for actionable insights.

Results

The results obtained by Synthesio have allowed Orange to develop a new digital strategy for online communication that is focused around their consumers. They have already seen an ROI of “several million euros” since the implementation of Synthesio’s monitoring and analytical servies, and expect to see more soon. Orange has also used Synthesio to spot competitors’ offers that their customers wanted, like the Orange Open calling plan, and respond to customer concerns before they became a major problem.

#MSM10 buzzed on Twitter throughout the day

This past Thursday, we counted over 1,500 mentions of MSM10 on Twitter, with multiple attendees live-blogging the event and posting videos and pictures as well.

Chris Kieff live-blogged the sessions from:

Katie Delahaye Payne, on engagement and analysis:

“Measuring engagement is not about justifying your budget. It’s not about measuring computers, it’s about measuring people and people are messy.”

“Content Analysis – really must be done by humans today and for the near future. The mistaken pieces of information picked up by the automatic system are numerous to go without being cleaned. Any keyword set will produce erroneous results.”

Loic Moisand, on matching measurement with your brand’s personality:

“No more focus groups [are needed] anymore. Using social media you can gather the answers you need without asking the specific question, therefore alerting your competitors.”

“Boring brands” can become interesting. Compare the Meerkat is an example of a brand that made car insurance entertaining :

Corey Hartlen, on listening:

“How are you listening?

Why are you listening?

What can we learn with the listening we’ve done. How do we turn it into actionable intelligence?”

Giles Palmer, on using Social Media marketing to drive traffic:

“If you start with a broad search, you then improve the searches and narrow down. Distribute these reports to the organization and let people know that the data can’t be used to compare historically. The important thing is to communicate the current state of the info. Eventually lock the data down and don’t make any more changes unless its imperative to do so.”

All followed by a panel on using monitoring to Benchmark & Measure ROI

You can catch up on the afternoon sessions here, as well, including presentations from Chase McMichael of Infinigraph, Jodee Rich of PeopleBrowser, Seth Grimes on sentiment analysis, and a panel on the future of social media monitoring during which Loic le Meur said he “sees the future of social media monitoring becoming the main source for leads in sales.”
