This past Thursday, most Americans had the opportunity to enjoy an extra long weekend in honor of Independence Day. However, some tireless community managers celebrated America’s birthday with their beloved community, by sharing engaging posts, images and content. We pulled together five top July 4th brands that posted on that day.
Here are a few ways some of America’s most engaging brands got festive on July 4th.
Walmart
Walmart never takes a vacation from helping their community and fans get excited around holidays, through sharing fun and helpful content that’s reflective of their brand and products. This past Fourth of July was no different. They created a Pinterest board full of fun, festive Independence Day recipes and shared from their social media channels in the days leading up to the holiday, and on July 4th itself.
MLB
Major League Baseball (MLB), celebrated July 4th, by putting together a twitter stream on the MLB website featuring Fourth of July tweets from MLB players. This was a very cool and engaging way for MLB fans to follow the tweets and photos of their favorite players in real-time, and give fans an inside look at how each player celebrated Independence Day.
E*TRADE
E*TRADE chose comedy when it came to chiming in on the Independence Day festivities. To the delight of their fans and followers, they tweeted a funny and patriotic pic of their iconic mascot the “E*TRADE Baby”.
Zappos
Well-known for their engaging content on their social media channels – to wish their community a Happy Fourth of July, Zappos posted a clever and patriotic image, that perfectly represented their brand’s image – and it was shared almost 4oo times!
Barack Obama
Even Obama joined the social media engagement party on July 4th!
